CTU Prague Students and Researchers Achieve Microwave and mm-Wave
Circuit Design Success with AWR
|

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – July 17, 2013
What:
The Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague challenges
its graduate engineering students to master the basic design of microwave
circuits and subsystems and become familiar with the concepts of active
and passive microwave and millimeter wave circuit designs. CTU uses
AWR’s Microwave Office® circuit design software and AXIEM® EM simulation
software extensively in both coursework and research because it is fast
to learn and easy to use, enabling students to successfully master the
complex concepts of high-frequency design and complete their master’s
theses. “From basic microwave building blocks to advanced
research in circuit design, we have found AWR’s Microwave Office and
AXIEM to be an ideal choice of tools.” Dr. Tomas Korinek, Faculty of
Electrical Engineering, CTU Prague

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
