June 1958 Popular Electronics Cover - RF CafeTable of Contents

Wax nostalgic about and learn from the history of early electronics. See articles from Popular Electronics, published October 1954 - April 1985. All copyrights are hereby acknowledged.

Arthur Brach created many crossword puzzles for Popular Electronics magazine in the 1950s and 1960s. Unlike the hundreds of RF Cafe Crossword Puzzles I designed over more than two decades, the PE puzzles usually have a few words that are not specifically related to electronics and/or technology. Still, they are a good source of a brief break from the day's business. You will need to print out this crossword puzzle to work it, since it is not interactive. Have fun.

Visit the Crossword Express website - RF CafeTake a well-deserved break and try your hand at some of these goodies. Every word in the RF Cafe crossword puzzles is specifically related to engineering, mathematics, and science. All of these crossword puzzles were created using the fabulous Crossword Express (now called "Magnum Opus") software.

Cruciverbalist:

A cruciverbalist is a person who is skilled at creating or solving crossword puzzles. The term is a combination of "cruci-" from "crucifix," meaning cross, and "verbalist" from "verbal," indicating a person who deals with words. cruciverbalists are often responsible for designing crossword puzzles, and they possess a deep knowledge of wordplay, vocabulary, and the techniques used in constructing and solving crosswords. They aim to make puzzles that are both challenging and enjoyable for crossword enthusiasts.
