Amateur & Professional Weather Equipment
Manufacturers & Services

Weather observation and monitoring is both a big time commercial business and a big time personal hobby topic. Given the accuracy, or actually the lack of accuracy, of long-term forecasts, your personal needs are probably as well served with a home or business electronic wireless weather station like the ones offered by the companies here.

Baba's Weather Pages | Chandigarh, India |

Our station comprises an R820T2 RTL-SDR, connected to a homebrew QFH (quadrifilar helix) antenna. A DSP application, SDR Sharp, is run in conjunction with Orbitron, a satellite tracking software for automatic tracking of NOAA satellites, on a computer running Windows 8.1. Once a satellite image is downloaded, WXtoImg, a satellite decoding software, is used to decode and publish it on this website.

    Kirt Blattenberger,

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
