One important thing to keep in mind is that specified values for attenuation
are only guaranteed at 50+j0 ohms, or whatever the characteristic impedance of the
attenuator model happens to be (50 and 75 ohms most common). The farther away from
the characteristic impedance the connected ports are, the farther from the spec
the attenuation value will be.
