Intended for precision frequency applications, the new OC51T series of oven-controlled crystal oscillators are available in 10 MHz to 40 MHz versions

Saelig Launches Euroquartz Surface-Mount Miniature Highly Stable Oscillators - RF CafeMarch 7, 2019 - Fairport, NY, USA: Saelig Company, Inc., has introduced the OC51T series of surface mount miniature oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXO) from frequency control specialists Euroquartz. These square-wave frequency sources are housed in a tiny surface-mount package and offer optimal frequency stability from a quartz IT-cut crystal. The OC51T series is available in frequencies from 10 MHz to 40 MHz and comes in a 9.7 x 7.5 x 4.1 mm miniature 4-pad package with 3.3 and 5.0 V supply voltage options. With voltage control as standard, OC51T OCXOs (datasheet) deliver a frequency stability of ±20 ppb (parts per billion) maximum over a -40 to +85°C range, making them ideal for use in applications requiring exceptionally accurate timing signals, such as radio transmitters, cellular base stations, military communications equipment, and also for precision frequency measurement. Frequency stability versus temperature is even better at ±10 ppb over the reduced -30 to +70°C temperature range. With regard to voltage change, stability is ±10 ppb for a ±5% input voltage variation.

The OC51T's output is specified with a 7 ns maximum rise and fall time (20-80% of waveform), an output load of 15 pF, a duty cycle of 50% ±5%, with a power dissipation of 0.4 W.

The OC51T series OCXO oscillators are made by European frequency product specialist Euroquartz, an independent UK-based manufacturer and supplier of quartz crystals, oscillators, filters and frequency-related products to the worldwide electronics industry. The company is AS9100 registered and designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of frequency control components for a wide range of customers for military and aerospace, communications, general electronics, computing, control systems and petrochemical applications. The OC51T series of high reliability oscillators are available now from Euroquartz' USA technical distributor Saelig Company, Inc.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The Internet was still largely an unknown entity at the time and not much was available in the form of WYSIWYG ...
