Tampa, Florida (January 19, 2022) – Modelithics is excited to launch a new monthly blog series - Model Rap! These blog posts will provide helpful tips for RF & Microwave design success using high-accuracy simulation models in the industry's leading simulation software. EM/circuit co−simulations are both accurate and painless when using Keysight Technologies' RFPro EM environment in conjunction with Modelithics models. In this blog post, learn why this approach for EM/circuit co-simulations offers tremendous advantages in comparison to traditional methods.

EM/Circuit Co-Simulation Made Easy and Accurate with Keysight RFPro and Modelithics Models

 January 2022

"Keysight Technologies' RFPro EM environment is intended to integrate electromagnetic (EM) simulation with circuit simulation, allowing for an EM simulation platform dedicated to RF/microwave circuit designs. Its goal is to make EM analysis as easy as performing circuit simulations for those who may not necessarily be dedicated EM simulation experts. On top of that, Modelithics models can be incorporated very nicely into an RFPro-based workflow, enabling you to execute painless and accurate EM/circuit cosimulations.

Historically speaking, performing an EM/circuit co−simulation has often been a task that can be rather difficult to accomplish. Cumbersome configurations and indirect workflows have been characteristics associated with these type of simulations. Unfortunately, these challenges can force you into spending a great deal of time with configuration tasks alone. To make matters worse, the process can easily lead to errors along the way..."

About Modelithics, Inc.

Modelithics, Inc. (www.Modelithics.com) was formed in 2001 to address the industry-wide need for high-accuracy RF and microwave active and passive simulation models for use in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulators. Modelithics' premium product is the Modelithics® COMPLETE Library, which includes the CLR Library™, containing measurement-based Microwave Global Models™ for a multitude of commercially-available passive component families, as well as the NLD Library™ (non-linear diode models), the NLT Library™ (non-linear transistor models), and the SLC Library™ (system level component models). Modelithics' services also address a wide range of custom RF and microwave measurement, EM simulation and modeling needs. Modelithics® is a registered trademark of Modelithics, Inc. Microwave Global Models™, CLR Library™, NLD Library™, NLT Library™, and the SLC Library™ are also trademarks of Modelithics, Inc. The Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) Program allows for collaboration and open communication during the development of advanced data sets and models for commercially available microwave components and devices, with flexible sponsorship and distribution arrangements for the resulting data and models. An example of such an arrangement is the Modelithics Qorvo GaN Library, a fully sponsored library distributed for free by Modelithics under sponsorship of Qorvo®. Modelithics has also recently launched a new Standard & Custom Test Fixture and Accessory Product Line, including legacy parts from J Micro Technology for a family of thin film Alumina substrate components.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
