 In spite of its rather tumultuous beginnings,
Bluetooth has emerged as a significant technology for short range connectivity.
Now that the Holy Grail of a true System in Package (SIP) Bluetooth module is
available, product designers no longer need to have RF expertise on-hand to
successfully integrate Bluetooth into headsets, printers, PDAs, keyboards, mice,
security systems, and a plethora of other applications. Way back in the late
1990s, when Bluetooth fist arrived in concept, a target price of $3 was proposed
as the level at which adoption would be ubiquitous. We are finally there and
indeed, Bluetooth technology is popping up all over the map. Even kids' toys
