Antler Antennas by MCM Mfg. Company, Fort Worth Texas - RF CafeHere be a new trio of tech-themed comics, this time from the April 1961 issue of Radio-Electronics magazine. The one on page 69 is my favorite. In the page 85 comic, there is a squarish "U" shaped line between the one guy's finger and the other guy's elbow, and I can't figure out what it is supposed to be. What am I missing? The page 96 comic is kinda dumb. Did people refer to that form of antenna as an "antler" back in the day? A firm called MCM Manufacturing Company, in Fort Worth, Texas, made a line of mobile antennas and support products (mounts, cables, etc.) called Antler CB Antennas, but from what I can find they didn't come into being until the 1970s. The advertisement shown here appeared in a 1977 issue of Popular Electronics magazine. Maybe I missed something.

These Technically−Themed Comics Appeared in Vintage Electronics Magazines. I personally scanned and posted every one from copies I own (and even colorized some).
