Subject matter ranges from historic events, to really cool phenomena in science and engineering, to relevant place, to ingenious contraptions, to interesting products (which now has its own dedicated Featured Product category). I saw a photo of some guy who had the entire periodic table tattooed on his forearm, and decided to do a Web search for other tattoos that have engineering or science themes. As with anything else you find online, there is a very real possibility that it has been Photoshopped, but many of the ones I have thumbnails of here were found on the Discovery magazine website, where supposedly they attempted to vet the images for authenticity. Since a lot of people view RF Cafe from work, I will link only to the Discover and TalkLikeAPhysicits websites. The others you will need to find on your own if you want to see the originals. Here is MSNBC's collection of Geeky Tattoos. Please send me an e-mail if you have a good photo. See engineering & science tattoo collection #2.
