Radio planning tool for microwave point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint
(PtMP) links.
Novosibirsk, Russia - June 15, 2020 -
Center of Telecommunication Technologies is proud to announce
immediate availability of their
MLinkPlanner 2.0 wireless network software
simulation tool for modeling microwave point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint
(PtMP) links. The new version is free for current MLinkPlanner users.
MLinkPlanner is a powerful and user-friendly tool for designing microwave
point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) links.
MLinkPlanner was created by engineers with many years of experience in
designing microwave links, from single hop access links to high-power long-haul
trunk lines. MLinkPlanner has demonstrated its effectiveness in designing many
links that are operating successfully in various climate zones and topographical
conditions from plains and marshlands to highlands.
Special focus was placed on devising a convenient user interface, the
incorporation of adaptable and easy to use link path profiles in the design
process, and the automation of all key calculations.

A Large Set of Equipment Specifications
The user has access to a large set of equipment specification files
supplied with the software.
Built-in editor for preparing specification files from datasheets.
Support for any equipment configuration (adaptive modulation; space and
frequency diversity techniques; co-channel).
Advanced GIS Features
Fully automatic generation of path profile based on:
Terrain elevation 1 arc sec (about 30 m)
Tree cover 1 arc sec (about 30 m) resolution data with tree canopy height
information
3D buildings data from OpenStreetMap project
All of these types of geodata are automatically downloaded to the required
area as needed; there is no need to worry about preloading the geodata.
Use of various standard base maps (such as OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, etc.)
as well as custom ones.
Various Reports
Short, full and various summary link reports
Save the result of the coverage calculation as an interactive web page, as a
raster image, or as a KMZ file. - Report with integrated graphics
map and path profile
The reports can be printed or saved in the formats PDF, Microsoft Word, or
Excel.
The Single User price is an amazingly low
$499, or you can get a 1-year single user license for $199. Academic discounts are
available.
CTT also offers their
MLinkPlanner 1.2 PtP and PtMP software
planning tool for microwave radio systems, as well as their free
Antenna Pattern Editor universal software
tool to view, create, edit and convert antenna patterns.
About Center of Telecommunication Technologies
Center of Telecommunication Technologies, LLC (CTT, LLC) www.ctt-group.ru Novosibirsk,
Russia is the developer of the MLinkPlanner and RadioPlanner software.
The company has been on market for more than 15 years, and all this time we have
been actively working in two directions - the design of radio communication networks
and the development of software for design. During our work, our specialists carried
out projects on more than 1000 microwave hops, more than 800 base stations of mobile
communication, more than 100 television and broadcasting transmitters. The customers
- are mobile operators Mobile TeleSystems PJSC, Megafon, Vimpelcom, Tele 2, oil
and gas production, processing and transportation companies, as well as broadcasting
companies.
Until recently, we offered software only in the Russian market. Many design organizations,
system integrators, telecom operators, TV and radio broadcasters, and government
agencies have been the licensed users of our software products.
Now we are pleased to offer you the program MLinkPlanner, which was developed
specifically for the global market. It is a convenient tool for designing point-to-point
and point-to-multipoint microwave links with all the necessary functionality.
RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail"
when a new message arrived...
