RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...

Copper Mountain Technologies' VNA 101 Bootcamp Webinar series, hosted by Applications Engineering Lead Subbaiah Pemmaiah, features beginner technical content regarding various aspects of Vector Network Analyzer use. This series combines valuable RF theory with relevant measurement demonstrations to provide a complete understanding of the basics of a VNA topics. Subbaiah Pemmaiah obtained a Bachelors in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2012 and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2014. Currently, he works as an Applications Engineer at Copper Mountain Technologies’ headquarters in Indianapolis. He is responsible for assisting customers with technical information and advice on using Vector Network Analyzers for their applications. He also works closely with cross-functional team members during definition, development, and launch of new products to the marketplace to ensure customers’ expectations are met with regards to serviceability, performance, and application of VNAs.
